Kelly Douglas, Director of Youth Ministry, began her position here at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish on September 1, 2020. She and her husband, Ron Douglas, became members of our parish five years ago, along with their children Bly (22), Syler (20), and Mycah, (17).
Kelly has been a resident of St. Joseph and the Catholic community all of her life. She attended school at the Cathedral of St. Joseph and graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School. Kelly pursued a degree in Business Administration from MWSU and later earned her CPA and worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for about 10 years before deciding to stay at home to raise their children. Kelly has a long history of ministry in the Church having served as a catechist for the Cathedral School of Religion, and leading the Confirmation program at St. Mary’s Parish for several years before coming to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Kelly’s passion in life is her Catholic faith and her family. Kelly’s journey of faith truly blossomed with the birth of her first child and has only continued to grow. Kelly describes her faith as a constant desire to learn more about any and all things Catholic, while continuing always to deepen my relationship with our Lord and the Blessed Mother.” She said when Fr. Christian first approached her about the youth ministry position she was ecstatic and her answer was astrong “yes!”
Kelly has a strong desire to help the youth of our parish grow in their relationship with Jesus so that they, too, will fall in love with their faith.
