Steve Kneib tends the facilities and grounds here at Our Lady of Guadalupe and has been doing so since July 1, 2007. Prior to joining the parish, Steve earned a BSBA in Management and Economics from Missouri Western State University and worked outside the St. Joseph community in the industry of restaurant supervision for 20 years. In 2000, Steve returned home to help care for his parents. After losing his father in 2006, Steve decided to stay and help tend the family farm.
Steve says one of the reasons he loves being part of Our Lady's staff is that the Lord saw fit to deliver this unique position to him at the exact time in his life that he needed it. Caring for the parish facility allows him to be available for his family which is so important to him. Steve greatly enjoys the interaction he has with the wide variety of people that are part of the array of special events held at the parish: weddings, funeral dinners, fundraisers, and the many fun parish social events. You can also find Steve serving the role as Lector for many of our Masses. Steve lives with his mom at their family farm and is blessed with many of his siblings living in close proximity to St. Joseph.
Steve says, “I couldn’t begin to accurately guesstimate how many thousands of times I’ve prayed the Our Father for it has been my “go-to” in hours of desperation and grief. I know He hears me when I pray as well as when, now more often than ever, I exclaim ‘Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Jesus!’”
